About Me

Growing up, I always had a desire to work with art. I was an avid comic book reader from a very early age, and have never really grown out of that desire to surround myself with images. Throughout school I attended as many art classes as were made available to me. In my senior year alone, I held 5 different art classes, a study hall (where I spent my time in the art room) and AP Government.

After graduating high school, I furthered my education at The School of Advertising Art, Inc. in Kettering, Ohio. I achieved an Associate degree in Advertising Art/Graphic Design, and quickly began working within the graphic design field. I have worked in various areas of design; newspaper advertising, catalogs, silk screen printing and design, promotional design, and most recently prepress production and digital printing.

I recently decided to go back to school to further my education, and chose The Art Institute of Pittsburgh – Online Division because of the freedom online classes could afford me. I am working towards an Associate degree in Web Design and Interactive Media, which I feel is the next logical step in my career path. Due to my most recent employment taking more of my free time, I have taken a break from school for a while.

With nearly 20 years of design experience, the last three of which dealing with digital printing, I feel that my skills and education are more than a match for the new web-oriented design structure that is today’s market.
